In this day and age of 'backing tracks' it was such a great pleasure meeting and recording with these two talented musicians. Katie who was just 13 and Rhys 12 when we did this recording came to the studio for their first time, armed with guitars, bass guitars and a brand new song they had written together.
Katie played acoustic guitar and sang lead and backing vocals. Rhys played electric guitar, bass and keyboards. The idea was to give them a feel for what can be achieved in a studio yet we literally only did one take. I think the result was incredible taking everything into account.
So here it is - "Why Ya Leavin".
