I was really pleased when Jolie and her mum Jayne agreed to come round to the studio. It may have been Jolie's first time recording but you would never have guessed it. We had a ball. We initially recorded the Grace version of "You Don't Own Me". Jolie came back a few weeks later and we recorded the beautiful "In The Arms Of The Angels". Despite it being such a sad and emotional song with real relevance to Jolie and her family we still managed to have a ball.
Jolie came back again and recorded what I think is her best yet, the beautiful Shallow from the 2018 Star Is Born.
I simply love recording with Jolie. A totally crazy and a totally lovely teenager. Plan is to do loads more.
Jolie is also part of vocal coach Tanya Harrison's amazing group of talented young singers.
