I always find it quite amazing just how much some of these talented young singers have already achieved.
Amelia has been a member of Mark Jermin Stage School since the age of 6, she just turned 15 when she came to record in December 2020, and for the last two and a half years, she’s also been a member of the Jerminators, which is the elite musical theatre academy.
Amelia has also been a member of SA15 Stage School for 6 years. Her most recent performance was at the Ffwrnes Theatre, Llanelli in March this year, just prior to lockdown, when she played a lead role of Ida in the musical ‘Honk’.
Amelia’s passion is singing. In December 2019, when only just turned 14, she attained distinction in her Grade 8 Musical Theatre singing exam. She will shortly be taking her Diploma in Musical Theatre. Amelia also takes regular singing exams with her younger sister, Louisa. In the summer this year, they attained a distinction in their Grade 7 Duet Musical Theatre exam.
Through her love of singing, Amelia has been a member of the Hywel Girls’ Choir, Llanelli for the last 6 years and more recently with Angelicus Celtis, being the smaller boutique choir made up from some older members of the main choir. Amelia has performed in many prestigious venues with the choirs, including Manchester Cathedral and the Actors’ Church in Covent Garden, when many Chelsea pensioners were in attendance.
Amelia is also a keen pianist and likes nothing better than to sing and play the piano together. Amelia also plays the clarinet.
I look forward to more recordings and possibly song writing with this amazing young talent.
